Our History & Legacy
Nestled in the scenic landscape of the Lolab Valley, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Sogam has been a beacon of education, tradition, and progress for decades. The institution was inaugurated as a Boys High School in 1952 by the then-worthy Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, in the esteemed presence of the worthy MLA of Lolab, Mr. G.N. Sogami. It was subsequently upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in 1972. Since its inception, we have remained committed to guiding the youth of Kupwara toward academic excellence.
From our traditional classrooms to our newly established digital frontiers and AI Educational Hub, we strive to blend the rich cultural heritage of our region with the evolving technological demands of the modern world.
